Scripture Reading
Luke 17:11-19 (ESV) On the way to Jerusalem he was passing along between Samaria and Galilee. And as he entered a village, he was met by ten lepers, who stood at a distance and lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.” When he saw them he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went they were cleansed. Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; and he fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan. Then Jesus answered, “Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?” And he said to him, “Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well.”
Introduction
To maintain Jubilee’s effectiveness, we must be reminded of its purpose.
Jubilee: Celebration and Calibration
Jubilee is a time of Calibration, listening for the direction of the Lord. (Genesis 22:9-12)
Celebration
Jubilee is a time of Celebration, thanking God for the past year. (Luke 17:11-19)
1 Thessalonians 5:16–19 (ESV)16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 19 Do not quench the Spirit.
Psalm 105:1–5 (ESV) 1 Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples! 2 Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works! 3 Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice! 4 Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually! 5 Remember the wondrous works that he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he uttered,

Him you shall serve and by his name you shall swear.

Josh, “They’re moving from being spectators to participants. They’re putting themselves in an environment to grow, and it shows. We are witnessing a type of remnant, the ones who remain faithful to Jesus, regardless if everyone else is or not.”
The progress of Disciple School resembles a discipleship journey itself.
Hands of Hope, Emergency Shelter: Multiple nights in January; from this, one person received the extended help offered, got off the streets, is now in the process of recovery, and attends church regularly. Even for the one, the whole thing was worth it.
Miracle: our IT Director’s (Cody’s) cousin Lisa was given 2 months to live this time last year after being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Jordan was intentional in praying over her. There is NO CANCER in her body!
Hospitality & Generosity: Many more people are discovering the simplicity of hosting/leading Life Groups. Example: Kati and Michael Johnson started opening up their home after being inspired by the hospitality series. [ Video ]
Momo & Coco: felt so supported by their Victory Life family (arrival date), they got married here (date), and are feeling deeply connected.
Teenager / Young Adult: A teenager who had made some bad decisions in his life decided to serve in the young adults. He has been meeting with Connor consistently and has been taking steps to be more serious about his walk with Jesus. Serving as a counselor at camp lit his fire, and since then, he has preached to youth. He was also accepted to the Dream Center leadership school in LA to participate in their 9-month discipleship program. It’s a testament to what serving can do for your discipleship journey!
Belinda has noticed more spiritual gifts within herself that are coming out of her since last Jubilee. She’s been having more dreams and just words for other people that she has seen grow within herself.
