2 Peter 2:6-9 KJ

  • We are all tempted with worry / fear / anxiety
  1. God is still working and revealing corruption 
  • The Culture of hate, death, and darkness must be confronted and countered.

 

2. We have been and will remain in a spiritual battle

  • Hold fast to our profession of faith

  • Forsake not being assembled
  • We see the day approaching (Jesus’ return)

Isaiah 41:9-10 NKJ – 

  • “dismayed” – discouraged / sense of dread

 

[While many are not afraid, they are dismayed!]

Joshua 1:9 NKJ 

  • Dismayed (Heb) – to break down, either by violence or confusion and fear.
  • 1 Chronicles 22:13 (ref) – “…be strong and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed.”
