Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him. Col 3:10 NLT

Renewal occurs when we connect with the life source.

WHAT WILL GOD RENEW IN YOU?
1) GOD WILL RENEW YOUR SPIRIT.
King David, in the OT, battled with spiritual inconsistency—did some things he hated
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalm 51:10
Steadfast: to be firm, to be stable, to be grounded.
When you step into Christ—he will make your faith firm, your walk stable, your beliefs grounded.

Brokenness brings renewal.
Maybe you are being broken today, you see pain, suffering, hopelessness, what you don’t see is a pruning, a renewal

2) GOD WILL RENEW YOUR STRENGTH.
We think vacation… work out…time off – doesn’t last
Context: Isaiah was talking to Israel, Gods people. To prepare them for what was to come, next 170 years of trouble and captivity. Even in difficult times, GOD can renew our strength.
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31
Hope: means to wait, look for, linger.
You CAN run and not grow weary, walk and not faint, when you wait upon the lord you grow stronger… when you are connected to the source. NOT just physical, this is a spiritual strength… face winds of resistance you can rise above…
Stay connected to the life source.
When you know God is the source and you stay connected your strength is renewed
Enemy wants to distract you, looking away… good things, success… family… busy… debt…Connect our identity to success, kids well- dressed… good mum,
In doing good, we can lose sight of the source. Even as pastor… What is your only Job as a branch… stay connected!
