  • Humility is God’s nature in man. (God’s image)
  • Pride is Satan damaging God’s image.
    • Pride goes before the fall & destruction.
      • Proverbs 6:18
    • Pride is one of the 7 deadly sins.
      • Proverbs 6:16
    • Pride is the source of all contention.
      • Proverbs 13:10
    • Pride is the door to every evil work.
      • James 3:16

ATTRIBUTES OF HUMILITY

  • Dependency on God.
    • 2 Corinthians 4:7 (NKJV)
      • Weakness (dependency on God)
    • 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 (NKJV)
      • Glory in weakness
      • God’s power (grace) rest in human weakness.
      • Take pleasure in weakness, persecution…
  • Religious pride is the worst of all pride.
    • Self-righteousness
