For sins meager wages is death, but God’s lavish gift is life eternal, found in your union with our Lord Jesus, the anointed one.
Compare to Genesis 2:16-17
Their life, redemption, salvation, was backed by a relationship with God.
Relying on themselves and backing what they believed (good vs. evil) even in the face of overwhelming evidence of a loving Gods’ existence in their lives-thrust mankind into similar behavior.
The world does the same.
They object to God without genuinely weighing the evidence.
They ask for evidence without seeking or looking into their hearts for the evidence.
You may be able to explain why your pastor looks like he does through evolution but that will never explain where I got unique qualities that never had amoeba status- love, mercy, compassion.
Those qualities were put in me by God and where exploded into my life through my union with Jesus.
John 14:3- This means life to know and experience you.
Consequences of tree of knowledge -working out divine matters through human reasoning.
Disobedience = working out divine matters through human. reasoning.
Choosing Tree of life = a faith that is devoid of thinking you know better.
Decision about choosing Jesus is a divine matter.
Stop trying to use your human reasoning to understand the divine matters of your heart.
We need a better way-According to Romans 6 – that way is Jesus.
So over the next few sessions – turn from consequences of human understanding to understanding the divine questions of your heart-in faith and in the word.

God’s existence in your life – Relationship with God-transferred the conversations in your head to conversations with God.
Your existence with God
Your existence with others – Shaped your response to any and all situations (even the ones that may cause you to try work it out yourself)
Your eternal existence – Gave your future a purpose.
