List of Gifts:
Administration
Definition: The gift of administration is the ability to organize multiple things and groups of people to accomplish a kingdom goal. People who have this gift experience profound spiritual joy when organizing something.
Indicator: One of the ways you know if you have this is if you love supporting other people in doing their spiritual job.
Scriptures: Luke 14:28-30; Acts 6:1-7; 1 Corinthians 12:28
Helps/Serving
Definition: The gift of helps is the divine strength or ability to work in a supportive role for the accomplishment of tasks in Christian ministry with the ability to often see the need before others do.
Indicator: You just love helping. People who have this gift find profound joy doing any task at any time as long as it is helping others. We all have to serve, however there is a Gift of this as well.
Scriptures: Mark 15:40-41; Acts 9:36; Romans 16:1-2; 1 Corinthians 12:28
Hospitality
Definition: The ability to create a warm, Christ welcoming environment for others in your home, office, or church setting.
Indicator: You may have this gift if you are the type of person that inviting people of to your house is the most fulfilling thing. This is an intentional mindset that you have. You invite people over for Kingdom purpose. Just to be clear, as christians, we are all called to hospitality, but there is a gift for it as well.
Scripture: Acts 16:14-15; Romans 12:13, 16:23; Hebrews 13:1-2; 1 Peter 4:9
Mercy
Definition: The gift of mercy refers to the the capacity to both feel sympathy for those in need and then manifest this sympathy in practical and helpful ways, with a cheerful spirit.
Indicator: You may have this gift if you help and encourage those in need. People with this gift probably feel at home with broken people. They feel fulfilled in helping those in need. Paul commands us to do this cheerfully.
Scriptures: Matthew 9:35-36; Mark 9:41; Romans 12:8; 1 Thess. 5:14
Giving
Definition: The gift of giving refers to the desire to produce and give finances (or other things) to organization or others for Kingdom purposes.
Indicators: You may have this gift you you enjoy giving freely. People with this gift are not thinking about just about tithing.. They are looking to give stuff away. We are all called to give, however there is a gift of giving too.
Scriptures: Mark 12:41-44; Romans 12:8; 2 Corinthians 8:1-7, 9:2-7
Craftsmanship
Definition: The gift of craftsmanship is the divine strength or ability to plan, build, and work with your hands in construction environments to accomplish Kingdom goals.
Indicator: You may have this gift if you find profound spiritual joy in putting you hands to use in building things.
Scriptures: Exodus 30:22, 31:3-11; 2 Chronicles 34:9-13; Acts 18:2-3
Discernment
Definition: ability to spiritually identify falsehood, to distinguish between right and wrong motives and the spiritual forces at work in situations.
Indicator: You may have this gift if you are able to discern intentions of someones heart
Scriptures: Matthew 16:21-23; Acts 5:1-11, 16:16-18; 1 Corinthians 12:10; 1 John 4:1-6
Words of knowledge:
Definition – ability to bring truth to a situation by supernatural revelation. This is often accompanied by a word from God.
Indicator – You may have this gift if you have ever had a word form the lord given to you by The Holy Spirit for someone else. This would include something you couldn’t have known except by means of The Holy Spirit.
Scripture: Acts 5:1-11; 1 Corinthians 12:8; Colossians 2:2-3
Words of wisdom
Definition: ability to understand and to bring clarity to situations and circumstances often through applying the truths of Scripture in a practical way.
Indicator: You may have this gift if you are often prompted to help people take the next step in their journey. You seem to have the answers to peoples issues by helping them see what they should do in a given situation.
Scriptures: Acts 6:3,10; 1 Corinthians 2:6-13, 12:8
Prophecy –
Definition: ability to communicate God’s truth and heart in a way that calls people to a right relationship with God.
Indicator: You may have this gift if you have ever been used in this way. The only way to know is to test it and have others judge it.
Scriptures: Acts 2:37-40, 7:51-53, 26:24-29; 1 Corinthians 14:1-4; 1 Thessalonians 1:5
Tongues
Definition: The gift of tongues is the divine strength or ability to pray in a heavenly language to encourage your spirit and to commune with God. The gift of tongues is often accompanied by interpretation and should be used appropriately.
Indicator: You will know if you have this gift because you will be able to speak in tongues and be prompted by the Lord to share it. Others will need to judge it and there will be an interpretation.
Scriptures: Acts 2:1-13; 1 Corinthians 12:10, 14:1-14
Intersession
Definition: ability to stand in the gap in prayer for someone, something, or someplace, believing for profound results.
Indicator: You may have this gift if you find a deep satisfaction and joy in praying for others.
Scriptures: Hebrews 7:25; Colossians 1:9-12, 4:12-13; James 5:14-16
Faith
Definition: ability to believe in God for unseen supernatural results in every arena of life.
Indicator: You may have this gift you have a strong desire and satisfaction in trusting The Lord to come through in big ways.
Scriptures: Acts 11:22-24; Romans 4:18-21; 1 Corinthians 12:9; Hebrews 11
Healing
Definition: ability to act as an intermediary in faith, prayer, and by the laying-on of hands for the healing of physical, mental and spiritual sickness.
Indicator: You may have this gift if you have often prayed for people and see a healing.
Scriptures: Acts 3:1-10, 9:32-35, 28:7-10; 1 Corinthians 12:9, 28
Miracles
Definition: The gift of miracles is the divine strength or ability to alter the natural outcomes of life in a supernatural way through prayer, faith, and divine direction.
Indicator: You may have this gift if The Lord has used you to perform miracles.
Scriptures: Acts 9:36-42, 19:11-12, 20:7-12; Romans 15:18-19; 1 Corinthians 12:10, 28
Leadership
Definition: The gift of leadership is the divine strength or ability to influence people at their level while directing and focusing them on the big picture, vision, or idea.
Indicator: You may have this if God has given you the ability to cast vision. People will want to follow the God given vision you cast.
Scriptures: Romans 12:8; 1 Timothy 3:1-13, 5:17; Hebrews 13:17
Shepherding/pastoring –
Definition: The capacity to exercise concern and care for members of a group so they grow in christ. Looks like modeling maturity and long term responsibility.
Indicator:How do I know if I have this gift? You smell like sheep. You are with people helping often.
Scriptures: John 10:1-18; Ephesians 4:11-14; 1 Timothy 3:1-7; 1 Peter 5:1-3
Evangelism
Definition: The special ability to present the gospel in a relevant way to non believers. The word means to “proclaim the good news”.
Indicator: You may have this gift if you have deep spiritual satisfaction when ministering to the lost.
Scriptures: Acts 8:5-6, 8:26-40, 14:21, 21:8; Ephesians 4:11-14
Teaching
Definiton: The ability to instruct and explain expose biblical truth in such a way that believers genuinely get what the word is saying.
Indicator: You may have this gift if you are able to instruct others well. Another indicator is if you get bothered when the Word isn’t taught well.
Scriptures: Acts 18:24-28, 20:20-21; 1 Corinthians 12:28; Ephesians 4:11-14
Exhortation/encouragement –
Definition: ability to strengthen, comfort or urge others to action through the written or spoken word and Biblical truth.
Indicator: You may have this gift if you find yourself constantly encouraging others in what the Lord has called them to do. This will bring you deep spiritual satisfaction.
Scriptures: Acts 14:22; Romans 12:8; 1 Timothy 4:13; Hebrews 10:24-25
Apostleship
Definition: The gift of apostleship is the divine strength or ability to pioneer new churches and ministries through planting, overseeing, and training.
Indicator: You may have this gift if pioneering a new church sounds satisfying to you. This will be affirmed by others.
Scriptures: Acts 15:22-35; 1 Corinthians 12:28; 2 Corinthians 12:12; Galatians 2:7-10; Ephesians 4:11-14
